Privacy
Updated 4 October 2026
The Bald Guys Alliance is a community fundraising effort from Mr Purple, the business coaching practice of Dr Tom Hitchcock, based in New South Wales. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
This site has no forms, and it uses no analytics or advertising cookies. Like any website, our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.
The contact links on this site open your own email program. We use what you send us to reply, and to organise the thing you asked about, such as a Caffeine Connection or a nomination for the charity calendar.
Please do not send us health details about yourself or someone else. BGA is a peer community, not a crisis service. If someone is in immediate danger, call 000, or Lifeline on 13 11 14.
Donations are taken by Stripe. Stripe passes us your name, email address and the amount you gave, so we can thank you and keep proper records. We never see or store your full card number.
Our LinkedIn and Facebook groups are run on those platforms, and their own privacy policies cover what you post there. We ask permission before sharing anybody's story, and we respect a no.
To reply to you, organise community activity, thank donors and keep the records the law requires.
Where you have agreed to it, to tell you about future BGA and Mr Purple activity. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and we act on it.
We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to anyone else to market to you.
Only the services we need: Stripe for donations, Google for our email, and LinkedIn and Facebook for the community groups. Some of these store information outside Australia, including in the United States.
For as long as you stay in touch with us, and after that for as long as the law requires, which is usually seven years for anything with a financial record attached. Then we delete it or remove the details that identify you.
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, or to correct them. Email tom@mrpurple.com.au and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
